Women on the Rise International, Inc. sponsored by your Local Ford Dealers and the Truist Foundation presents a four-part financial empowerment series entitled “Educated & Broke” for women who have the degree and/or have a lot of talent but find themselves living paycheck to paycheck.

As of today, the uncontrolled wage gap stands at a 19% difference between men and women. This is a widespread and systemic issue that cheats us and our families, posing challenges that keep us living paycheck to paycheck, unable to invest money in retirement or property, and potentially pass on unhealthy financial habits to our children.

It’s important now more than ever that we learn the life skills and confidence needed to manage our money, reduce debt and build wealth. Women on the Rise’s Educated & Broke series is a financial empowerment series to educate more women on how to develop tactical strategies to earn more money, know their worth, budget, save, pay off debt, invest, start a business and provide a legacy for their families. This series seeks to provide women with the resources and knowledge toolkit to better themselves in their careers as well as entrepreneurial efforts. Through seminars in financial empowerment, Educated & Broke equips women with the tools to contribute to the closing of the gender pay gap. The program is aimed at women mid-career who hold a college degree and seek the educational, personal, and professional development to progress their career and better their financial literacy.
